Thank you Sonforce Kids … strength in numbers as special agents for God.
Sonforce Kids Vacation Bible School was held July 9-13 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Richmond, BC. 125 children and 60 members of the youth ministry spent a week of sports, games, bible study, crafts and lots more. They came away knowing, beyond the fun and games, the mission and service aspect of Vacation Bible School and living their faith journey. These young children knew that actions speak louder than words and fundraised under the direction of Pauline Sturton. They brought in their loonies and toonies and managed to raise $400! They knew the need to serve God not only at home but around the world. They donated $200 to the local food bank and $200 to Jonathan’s Charity Climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro for the Children’s Hunger Fund. They knew that through the CHF $25 would feed a family for one year and thus their $200 meant 8 families would be looked after.
