Every Little Bit Helps! |

One of the most reassuring parts of running a fundraising campaign is the moments of generosity and support that propel you through. Special thanks goes out to the entire staff of the Vancouver USANA office for helping to raise $558 through a raffle at their Health and Freedom meeting. Julia and Erica wanted to do something to help Jonathan reach his goal of raising $50000 for the Children’s Hunger Fund. They were very familiar with what the CHF had done in the past with helping needy children in over 70 countries in the world. They knew that all the money raised by Jonathan would go to orphans in Uganda. Uganda is a country where $25 feeds a family for one year through the CHF. Julia and Erica work for Usana Health Sciences in Richmond, BC. Usana is a world leader in nutritional research and manufactures the highest quality line of dietary supplements along with additional nutritional and personal-care products. Its founder, Dr. Myron Wentz, has a vision to free the world from the pain and suffering of degenerative disease one person at a time. The parallels of Usana and the CHF are strikingly similar! The CHF is a publicly funded, nonprofit organization whose purpose is to alleviate the suffering of children around the world. So, armed with this knowledge, Julia and Erica decided to hold a raffle at the Richmond office. They filled 2 Gift Baskets with Usana health products, gift certificates, and other items worth over $400.00. Tickets can be purchased at the front desk … $2 each or 3 for $5. The draw will be held on Monday, August 13th at 7:30 pm at the Usana Richmond Office located at 13353 Commerce Parkway, Richmond, BC. Jonathan will be there to tell his story and pull the winning names. Thank you to Julia and Erica, and to all the donors to this very worthwhile cause. Together we can accomplish something so much bigger than we can alone. A note from Jonathan: Thank you for your extremely generous donation. It is people such as you that provide me with the energy to go to such great lengths to help those in extreme need. Your contribution will never be forgotten – especially by the orphans in Uganda when they finally receive it. Semper Fidelis … Jonathan Conlin
